Creating a novel is an intimate process, with that intimacy can come a sense of being overwhelmed and out of sorts. Because creating a novel isn't viewed as a team activity, most authors attempt to navigate this new terrain blind, hoping for the best. Most wind up shipwrecked, lost at sea, or on the verge of drowning. The Literary Evolution knows the feeling oh too well and wants to be your Author Lighthouse. 
The goal of the author lighthouse is to be your guiding light preventing any catastrophes both financial and timewise from ever occurring. Author lighthouses assist the novice authors with finding their voice, direction, and an effective plan for their career. That career can be at the preliminary stages of writing when an expert is needed to provide guidance, critique, and even motivation along the way. 
Author Lighthouse is also a saving grace for those that have completed their novels, but need to discover not only what is the best publishing route for them, but how to accomplish their goal.

In nutshell, Author Lighthouse provides hands on, consistent support for authors determined to have a successful career. 

What are some common topics requested of author lighthouses?
For new authors, they typically send chapters as they write for critique on the main elements of a book: character, development, plot, setting, POV, dialogue. The author lighthouse gives them resources or exercises to focus on consistent problem areas. For those that have completed their novel, they consult for a launch party and marketing purposes. Mailing list, social media, website, and other areas are analyzed and improved upon. The awesome thing about author lighthouse is that the possibilities are tailored to each individual author's needs.

I've taken The Literary Evolution's amazing course, The End. I don't need author lighthouse.
The course was a great step! We hope you can take the information, resources, and handouts and soar into the success you desire. For those that need more guidance, coaching, and motivation, the author lighthouse is for you. It's okay to still need guidance and assistance. 


How long do I have access to my author lighthouse?
Services are booked on a monthly allotment. You can renew your contract as often as you like.

Are payment plans available?
Payment plans are available. A deposit of 50% is due before services begin. The remaining balance is due two weeks after services begin. Please be aware that payment plans can incur additional fees. Any fees will be identified in the contract.

I'm very overwhelmed. Does this mean I have unlimited access to my author lighthouse?
You will have unlimited email correspondence access. (Please allow up to 24 hours for responses Monday-Friday. All weekend emails will be answered by Monday 5pm EST). You will have 3 weekly video conferences or telephone conversations, depending on your best method of learning and the material being covered.

My author lighthouse was great! I didn't need the complete month, now what?
Awesome! We love positive results. There is no need to continue if you do not wish too. Please note, there aren't refunds for remainder days/weeks in the author lighthouse contract. You are however able to continue to utilize your author lighthouse until the end of your term.

What does my author lighthouse expect from me?
The author lighthouse expects a few things. The first being your commitment. You will complete a questionnaire that the author lighthouse will use to tailor your specialized plan. The author lighthouse also expects for you to have a manuscript, book idea or concept that you are committed to. Lastly, your author lighthouse asks that you be respectful of your time and theirs. The way you demonstrate your respect is completing all assignments, exercises, and having honest open dialogue with your author lighthouse.

Learning so much information how am I able to stay on track?
Writing as an artform is forever changing, as well as the literary business. It's imperative that you view this new path as a marathon. There are so many things for you to learn and we understand your excitement. Completing the questionnaire allows your author lighthouse to keep you focused. For those burning questions you can always send an email.

Does the author lighthouse tell me if I should or shouldn't renew.
No, that's a personal decision. The final week, the author lighthouse will recap what you have learned the three weeks prior to ensure you are comfortable on the subject matter discussed.
